On the occasion of the Christmas and New Year holidays, the Museo dell’Antico Palazzo dei Vescovi extends its opening days, offering the public additional opportunities to visit during the festive period.

The museum is regularly open from Wednesday to Sunday, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., with extraordinary openings on the following dates: 31 December 2025; 1, 5 and 6 January 2026. The museum will be closed on 25 December 2025.

These special openings are part of the programme of initiatives accompanying the recent opening of the new archaeological route, which allows visitors to explore the underground areas of the palace and to trace, through stratigraphic layers and artefacts, the earliest history of the city. During the holiday period, visitors will also be able to access the museum galleries and the monumental spaces overlooking Piazza del Duomo.

Until 6 January 2026, to mark the opening of the new archaeological route, admission to the entire Museo dell’Antico Palazzo dei Vescovi is free of charge.
